Well, regarding Mentos the one I saw was made in Indonesia with a Halal label.
I have been wondering about chewing gums. Long ago, my Dad said "Wrigley" ones are haram because they have animal contents. (which aren't mentioned in the ingredients) He read a fax from them in reply to a query by another person with regard to this.
I have told my little siblings not to eat chewing gums. Be it Airwaves, Extra.
But sometimes it's hard for them coz they always say "everyone(other muslims) are eating it.
Why can't we? it's not haram etc etc.
