Looks a budget for an economy starting to grow big definately.
The turnover tax bit amused me...as a similar tax rate on equities was announced here in our budget as well which collapsed the market like anything..the trading was actually suspended during the day. Kher later, resolution was reached.
Containing fiscal deficit may be one of the things on their agenda...it's a bit too high imo.
Dr Singh at the helm of affairs is surely a good sign. Perhaps, we are taking cues as well as far as technocrats running the reins of the country are concerned.
