How would that GPS guide you? Turn left on what street? Streets have names there? Only Islamabad streets do. Notice how in Pakistan people guide you based on "Go down, you will see a mithai ki dukaan, turn right, and look for the green house. If not, just ask around for Dubai walay". Compare that to Americans who say go down 2 miles, turn right on such and such street, and look for house numer so and so.

Most people in Pakistan have probably never even seen a detailed map of their own city. When I lived there, I don't think such a concept even existed that you use a map to find your way around town.

But, GPS does exist in Pakistan. It exists everywhere. Rental cars there use GPS to keep their cars from getting stolen. Besides I doubt people would need that over there.
