This book like completely breaks down where the kaaba orginated from and you're forced to think what if it is just a building? But Author makes a very good point, its not the myths that are true or false , but its the truth in culture that these myths provide.

yeah that too, but it was shaken after that at points.
i have read many of the things about kaaba origination but also about ppl noty being able to change quran so changing time periods and inserting cukltural practices as hadeeth and attributing it to prophet etc.
there are books that talk about early period of islam and how just as things got changed in early days of christianity that things got changed then as well.
