If there is a religion who talk about less favorable treatment to followers of other religion then it always ends up in conflict. Its also a point to ponder that the Pope and Khalifat were considered as holy and people went to war depending on their will and greed. Major guiding factor for these people were to convert and capture more land and subjugate their people under their dominion.
