This year federation is expecting around Rs1350 billion in federal tax collection (for year 2008-09) and Karachi contribution in that collection is most likely going to around Rs 1000 billion. Federal government is going to distribute around Rs 650 billion from that collection to provinces, and Sindh province (including Karachi) would get around Rs 150 to 175 billion out of that Rs 650 billion ... or 15 percent of what got collected from Sindh (around Rs 1000 billion).
