why are you guys so happy about providing arms to Sri Lanka? If you think Sri Lanka is going to take ONE step against the interests of India, what will stop India from just taking them over? remember unlike Pakistan, they don't have any dirty bombs.
The way geo-politics intertwines with military strategy, it is very highly likely that India is using Sri Lanka as a way to gain Pakistani military secrets including info on weapons, decision cycles, alliances, battle plan methodology etc.
In return, India has, sadly for the Tamils, let Sri Lanka pulverize the LTTE, in spite of stiff opposition from their own state of Tamilnadu.
