I see considerable similarities b/w the 1992 win and the present win, even though the former seems to be much more glorious in retrospect.

Some similarities:

Both teams started off as underdogs.
Both teams struggled and lost initial games.
Both were cornered tigers and were left with a string of "do or die" games.
Both teams were stocked with raw and untested talent.
Same coach.

Lets hope this win does for the likes of Umar Gul, Mohammad Amer, Ajmal, Fawad Alam....what the 1992 win did for Mushtaq, Amir Sohail, Inzamam, Moin etc.
