This movie is smarter than it seems. There is a whole set of intelligent points flowing with an serious undercurrent.
Watch Jack Black eat ****. A Sarah Chalke look alike ( but wasnt her) as Blacks sister. The movie has some laugh out loud moments but lots of fun poking at circumcision & divine allocation of land to nations, priests, virgin sacrifices, Herpes in the royals of antiquity.
I liked it, but not because of its funny parts but the serious themes.
