My company offers a program where employees can buy used pickup trucks below market value.
I have seen one in their database which I have my eyes set on . It is Ford F 150

it is 2007 model ( 2007 Ford F150 Supercab 2WD XLT 163WB 4DR Pickup ) with 140 K miles on it.

I need it for my landscaping projects in my backyard and my high schooler kid can use it as a ride to and from school. That will also give me peace of mind from the perspective that he is a teenage driver and he will be safe enough in that truck.

They are asking 8000 dollars for it. I have looked on Kelly Blue Book and at dealers. The price my company is asking is significantly lower but the mileage is also significantly higher than on the trucks being offered by those dealers. I also looked on craigslist , cars.com , the same trucks on those sites have max 40 K miles but the price range is somewhere from 12 to 15 thousand dollars.

Any used truck/car experts out there who can give me some insight as to whether I will be better off , if I buy this truck at this price ?
