How I wish I could get just a little bit of that extra fat on my eldest!!! My little toothpick boy!!

Yes its a problem in US, as it is elsewhere too Fast food, ultra-extra-prepared, boxed, fozen, nuke-able foods are all very high in fat and sodium .. and yet are the big sellers because life is so very busy, many parents choose the fast-prep type of foods. Throw it in the nuker for 4 minutes and voila, instant dinner. Its sad...it used to be that Dad came home at 5pm, Mom had dinner ready, all fresh foods and everyone sat down as a family and ate together. These days, thats a rare treat. When I drop off and pick up my 2 older boyz at school, I see some of these kids...its really incredible how fat they are. I may joke a little about my toothpick boy but these kids...man theres no excuse for a 6 year old to weigh 90 pounds. BUT I have to say that our school district is ALL OVER the parents of those kids, they get really very (and sometimes too much) involved when theres a problem like that. Sad all the same ... that its such a problem due to the craziness and hectic lifestyle that we are almost forced to live.
