I'm not an expert on trucks, but just based on your own research from craigslist and other sources, it seems like your company has priced the truck a little more than what I would pay (may be $6000 is what I would pay).
If you look at the ratio of mileage (40K:140K) and the ratio of prices (14K:8k), the price seems to be somewhat inflated. Also, you can heuristically base your decision on an annual estimate of mileage. If you estimate an average of 25K miles a year, this truck is almost 5 years old. So, you can lookup the value of a 5 year old truck to get a better handle on what you should be paying for the truck.
