The best antivirus is known as common sense. Unfortunately its something money can't buy.
I once spent half a day rebuilding a family friend's virus infested machine from scratch, backing up their data, checking the data for viruses, formatting the hdd and reinstalling genuine XP and then restoring all their data. After i handed them the machine, on my way back home the uncle jee calls me and goes "Beta i went to this website and i got a message saying your computer is infected, please click here to fix it. So i clicked on that message and now im being told to pay $40 to buy this antivirus."
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
