My grandmother has employed similar aalims who are picking up on the vibe as well and in fact those aalims told our family that if you're being affected by it, you'll hear and see and smell weird things.
So, basically, in my grandmother's house - she and her daughter are hearing screaming sounds all the time coming from sometimes right outside the house, sometimes from downstairs (where the supposed jadoogarni lives) and sometimes from within the home.

This is so scary, I would just drop dead if this kinnda thing ever happen to me. Back in pakistan I refuse to go to one of my distant relatives house because supposedly some thing unholy lives there. It is one of those old Mughal gothic bunglows.
My grand parents used to live in old walled city in Lahore and my dad grew up there. He and my uncles and aunts have many stories of holy jinns living in the basement of their house. One incident is similar to what Mal1k wrote about his dad. So I guess black magic brings on the unholy stuff while holy jinns are not much trouble.
