Soya oil (or soybean oil) is in the good category for the most part. It comes from a vegetable source which is healthier than animal fat. it's a good source for vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids.

The only bad part is it's not very "nutritious" when you use it to deep fry at very high temperatures because at high temperatures, soya oil has a high trans fat content.

But other than that, it's good to use to saute or light frying.
