I have experienced both meethi churi and backstab..and oh boy! did it hurt or what!?..Alhumdulillah, I recovered from it but at the time it was just very painful to deal with. I kept it all to myself though for like 2 years or smtng and it destroyed my self-esteem and my personality as a whole because it just kept eating me up from inside that I let someone do this. I did confront it with the person and she appologized for hurting me but also said, she didn't think/feel what she did was wrong.

I've learned a very important lesson... as nice as you wanna be to other people... they never end up appreciating it. Sadly there is no such things as a friend!

stabbed? lol, I got shot from behind like in Scarface...
I had my contract, signed in my pockets, even started working, what comes out? 2 days later the Coffeeshop owner tells me, "we don't consider you as a colleague in our Coffeshop"...
I had that job...good pay...and then SUDDENLY and unexpected bang, you're out.
B'tch. She'll pay for that big time. The way I was treated, like sh't. Lanat parre uski dakan pe...

I have been back stabbed ... probably due to my own transgressions. A few times it has happened to me. One time I could have led myself to a jail another time I could led myself to the coffin, but Alhumdulillah ... He Saved me!
I still trust people in the general sense ... I will however now, check to see if things are as said before jumping in to things. It is not distrust ... it is just not blind trust like I used to do too often.
The only one I can blindly trust is my Lord.
P.S. Please don't ask me for details regarding the backstabbing as you are not going to get any.
The Prophet(SAW) said:
"I am leaving you two things and you will never go astray as long as you cling to them -- they are the Book of Allah and my Sunnah." [Reported by Al- Haakim - Sahih].

When I acted like a nice guy, everybody thought they could take advantage of me; but now that I act cold and aloof, everybody respects me.
In life, you have to consider that everybody, including close friends and relatives, may be trying to take advantage of you.

When you act as a nice guy they respect you when you are not around , but when you act cold and aloof they respect only on your face behind your back they are making plans to get at ya.
So it is better to act nice but be careful and not to fall victim to a back stabber.

Peace zxcvb
Sometimes we need to rule out people asking assistance vs people taking advantage and people respecting us vs people keeping their distance from us.
My mother always says,
itna meetha na bano ke koi tumhe suraq jai, na itna karwa bano ke koi tumhe moun se tukh de
For me I prefer to be helpful and if they take advantage of me then I pray that Allah (SWT) protect me from the harm in that. So they will only earn for themselves evil. I try not to think I am doing things to please "man", because "man" is ungrateful. If we can't be grateful to our Lord how then can we be grateful to each other? Rather, I try to do things to please Allah (SWT) ... He will never back stab me, Woe ... to the thought of it!
The Prophet(SAW) said:
"I am leaving you two things and you will never go astray as long as you cling to them -- they are the Book of Allah and my Sunnah." [Reported by Al- Haakim - Sahih].
