Now tell me if astronomers say that the moon cannot be seen on 29th . But people still claim to see it. Mullah/rowet a hilal committee accepts those false claims and declared beginning of Ramazan or end of it. Should mullah not declared the witnesses false instead. There are some repercussions if the beginning of Ramazan gets messed up. The people who hope to find Shab a Qadar on the odd nights of last ten days of ramadan are in fact looking for it in the even nights.
Then if eid is falsely declared on certain day when it is not supposed to be , it is supposed to be on the next day , so people are skipping a roza , kaffara for knowing skipping a fast is 60 roza or feeding 60 hungry people.
I know , know there is no penalty for masses in those cases. But if the science says that the moon is impossible to be sighted on 29th, and I know it will not be visible and I go with what the mullah of the community has declared based on false witnesses would I not be answerable to Allah for accepting a lie knowingly ?
I am a man with a plan. A plan to live a simple , fulfilling life.

An aunt of mine happened to witness lailatul Qadar on 26th night this time. Does it ring any bell?
Let the Sea be my mother, and the Moon my father;
I will swim with the mermaids forever thereafter....

If we are following what others tell us, why should we be puinshed theN? Do u want every single Muslim to stand on their rooftop and try to look for the chaand?

Nobody should be looking for the moon when the astronomers have said that it will not be visible that evening.
That is the whole point. If I become part of a conspiracy knowingly I guess I am responsible for my action in this case.

not really, if the next day or fast is the 27th one then the previous nigh is also the 27th night (odd number. So she's probably witnessed the most wonderful and blessful instant.

Bro, it's just a bunch of nations who are messed up in the head atm, ie Saudi Arabia. They cause all the fitna we see around start of Ramzan and Shawal.
Just follow your local masjid and Allah will hold those on top responsible, not you.
If it makes you any happier, this time around in Montreal, we all started on same day and ended same day. Alhamdulillah.

Maybe this varies by the area you're talking about. I know that here (well actually Toronto but we usually follow what they say), the hilaal committee has rejected moon sighting claims that were found to be scientifically impossible.

My question exactly
anyway, its not the people to be punished or blamed for....
its all the mullah's and rowat-e-hillal walay.... they are responsible.. if they are announcing eid or ramzan on the false sighting, then .....Sanu ki, gunnah sawab un ka...

khair yeh to koi Logic hay hee nahi .. astronomers ki bat un ki thqeeqaat kay opper hote hay jo ghalat bhi ho sakten hain
Chaand nay Allah kay hukam say nikalna hota hay ...or asal baat sharia law ki hay
jub itnee tadaad main Aadil shadatain wasool ho jaain jo shariyat main muatbar hain to her haal main app ko mann.na hay .. khuah astronomers jo kuch kehtay rahay
or phir shirya law hee k jis ko imaam bana liya ab us k peechay chalaain ..royt-e-halal committe jo kahay gee us per hee awam ko chalna ho ga ..
mujhay bohat achee terah yaad hay do 3 saal pehlay yeh bat uthee thee k ik roza kam ho gya hay ..or yeh yaqeene tha .. is k bawjood ulma nay committe kay aylaan per ammal kernay ko kaha
is baaray main umeed hay Allah hamaree grift na fermaain gay ..!
