How do you deal with them? Especially if they come every single Eid and bring you crap, like for example they give your mom stupid elizebeth arden diamonds perfume(from a cheap dept store) every year which we all HATE, no offence to people who use it but it sucks and makes me sick. Or a big yellow shirt? Sometimes poop colored shalwar kameez. If I were to post a picture of one of the outfits, you would think its too ugly to even exist. We gave them gold plated jewelry, toys, nice shirt, eidi. And my dad doesn't allow us to give them crappy gifts(its a hasel shopping for those too cuz you can't possibly find something crappy enough) and even if you give them gifts he makes sure he gives them cash.
Every year its the same annoying thing.

very old adage : It is the thought that counts.
The gift might be cheap and crappy for you but to the gift giver it is the most precious thing they can give you.
I am a man with a plan. A plan to live a simple , fulfilling life.

Thats the problem, its not a precious thing to them and money is def not an issue. I can go to a dollar store and pick out better stuff. Okay let me put it this way. What if the thought thats behind the gift which is crappy. How do you deal with that?

Maybe they have same problem with you and your gifts too, you are thinking that your gifts are nice or world class which may be according to them are crappy.
Either you are just a little kid or have tude problem.
You should see around there are many many people who don't even get gifts. So, praise to God that at least you are getting something. Such kaha kisi nay insaan kisi haal mai khush nahee.

It can be that they do not have that kind of aesthetic sense as you do. They might have bad taste when it comes to choosing gifts.
I am sure they do not do this to annoy you or your family.
Sabr and being nice to them is the best behavior in this case.
Another thing you can try is to tell them diplomatically that you will appreciate cash eidi instead of gifts.
You can say sometime before eid that you , your mom and other members of the family love it when they get cash eidi.

PhatBalongri...... they KNOW your family/dad will give them nice gifts and cash no matter how crappy the things are given by them to your family. That is the reason they keep on doing this year after year. It's going to be an endless cycle unless you guys start doing the same thing to them.

hey listen - it's the thought that counts. Keep the thoughts - trash the gifts! Simple.
Maybe they cannot afford better, even if you think money is not an issue. May be they have a budget for gift giving and only cheap stuff fills up the bag - if they want to give it to EVERYONE.
so keep the thoughts - that they remembered YOU and remembered to give YOU something as a token of love.
