Zaats are so overrated in desi culture. I never believed in them or bought the stories of people who do.
I am a human being. I have no attachments, no restrictions, no limitations based on names, sects or otherwise. This is superficial bullsh*t.

hello me fellow peeps...
Nice to see such hot debate here, but try to solidify your points a bit and not make it soo apparent that it screams in red that some of you trully aren't writing with keeping upper chambers intact, but rather from a place where the sun don't shine much. Now back to work and carry on

and pray tell, where are you getting all these amazing "facts" from? lets not make sweeping statements based on personal opinions, no point in offensive declarations unless theres a valid source behind it.

Good to see so many people against caste-system rubbish - also good to know that the money some of our parents have spent on educating us didn't entirely go to waste. Hi five to allll those who condemn such things!!
EcoShan - I like how you're questioning some folks here - good for you man.

it's all good tht the younger Generation dont agree with Zaat, but most of the older Generation still wont agree with us, coz tht's the way they have been brought up.....and it's hard to change a lifetimes view on something........

^ Yes, you're right. I can see how hard it must be as there seem to be plenty of single people here on GS who want to get married but caste is a problem created by their parents.
I feel for all those people who spend their golden years unmarried because of caste system-rubbish.

I use to rely a lot on Mr Desai's Fatwas but his website has had so much contradicting material.
The Prophet :saw: married Mother Juwayriyah the Hebrew who was an ex-Jew.
Bilal the Abyssinian married an Arab lady.
The Prophet :saw: himself married his cousiness from his Qureshi tribe to a freed slave from outside, the marriage didn't work out but the fact that the Prophet :saw: married them in the first place shows it's perfectly allowed.
There's lots of other examples from the Prophet's PBUT, Sahaabah and Ahle-Bait (MABPWT).

hmm there is that. however i am not askin you to accpet something because somebody said it, rather saying to know why people like me believe it. as i said it is a personal choice, i donot take family and lineage to be useless. i donot have trouble with those who do. we all run our own lives. what ever rocks your boat. however i definitely appreciate people who extend the same coutesy to such as myself. while you hold the opinion that there is nothing of lineage in islam, i beleive there is and i have shown you some scholars hold that belief with reasosning. yet the basic ground of superiority is taqwa. as the ashraf ali thanvi said as well. explain to me what kafu is?
