Burn me and play some Cool music

Last night I was talking to a couple of friends about dying and after-death. When such a time arrives, I would like my body to be cremated and my ashes be dispersed in Hira Mandi Lahore, and I would want some serious Jazz piece (perhaps Miles Davis) be played at my funeral services. I would want all my friends to donate whatever they could to any Charities that promote arts; and harmony among races, etc.

Do you ever cogitate about your journey out of here?

I don't have anything against Miles Davis, it's just some people used to call me that coz his first name rhymes with my name. Never heard his music!!

I love Miles Davis!!! You have a good taste NYAhmadi, perhaps, as a New Yawker, i think we always end up having a mutual taste in most things. One more thing ( only my observation) , I do not think that Jazz is popular among south asians so they really do not care much about Miles. Jazz is not as popular around the world as R&B ( Destiny's Child for example) or hiphop..

Fraudz, and if you ever did that, you know my mates (Rom and Chann) will make a shrine at that place and will have an Uras every year, with all kinds of Qawalis playing on my Mizar Shareef. I hope that you can come for a visit (without propane of course) and meet me in this life. Life is short, you know.

.. at least you good taste in music! .. i would rather go for Lakshmi Chowk .. with the LID and my ashes karahi would taste even better!

Lday Intellect you are wrong. There are many
Desi population who loves jazz. As a matter of fact i have tons of weird jazz collection. Most of them are not very mainstream . ITs just me and my weird collection.

Muzna, It just appeals to me (not now, but when I die). It is very user-friendly way to save our environment. I also don’t believe in Shrines, etc (knowing Roman and Chann; who will erect a Maqbra when I die). The point was actually for my ashes to be spread all over Hira Mandi (burning me was the excuse). I would like my soul to be in the presence of great music and crafts for which there is no place comparable to Hira Mandi.

I don’t like the idea of chopped up deadbody. But if that be the case, then my pieces must be enkindled, and my ashes………. Do what you like, let me go!
