Hi Guys
I'll be visiting Holland in a month or so for a day or two..
are there any places which I should really visit....is there anything to do in the evening or at night?
I'll be attending a wedding there and am going a day early to hopefully do some sightseeing..
Thanks

Hey! Well, for a start you can visit any of the manyyy museums, go to the Vondelpark, go to the Dam.
If the weather allows you, you can go on a boat trip! Besides on a group boat trip, you can do some individual water biking aswell
You can go to a place called Lisse, it's near Amsterdam to the Keukenhof.

Amsterdam - go to Dam Square, the Van Gogh musuem and the Anne Frank musuem.
If travelling out if Amsterdam then certainly go to Keukenhoff - it's amazing!
Where's Shinoo???

Defenitely Keukenhof..! It's beautiful..!
Other than that.. what Chilly mentioned.. the Dam.. Boat trip and water biking are also fun..! Maybe you can also check Madurodam in The Hague..

Everything mentioned above, only Keukenhof is closed from 21st of may onwards.
If you like art: visit the museums, they are pretty much located in the same area (Amsterdam Zuid). If you have any interest for the WWII then go to Anne Frank´s Huis.
I don´t want to put you off, but the 1 hour boat trip is KINDA boring.... So waterbike is probably a better idea, I hope you have a nice weather and no rain... The shoppingstreet is located around the Dam (where the palace is). You can also visit the palace if it is open for visitors.
Meanwhile I am thinking about who is getting married

Hi Tabu,
I don't think there are any halal restaurants near the airport (except for maybe a doner place in the airport hall). I don't know what your travel arrangements are to/from Amsterdam but best idea would be to catch the train to Amsterdam City Centre (only takes 15 mins). Plenty of halal restaurants you can choose from there :-)

TabuB, Keukenhof will be opened next year only. Since the flowers are already cut now for export purposes. So I guess no Keukenhof for you this time around. But don´t worry, if you still want to see places you can also go to the Zaanse Schans, where you will find almost all of the windmills at one place, and there is also a workshop about how you make ´klompen´ (wooden shoes).
And don´t worry about the train etc, the train platform is beneath the airport terminals, so you just have to take the stairs to the train platform. Yes everything is written in english and Dutch people speak fluent English. There is no way you can get lost in Amsterdam
As for the halal restaurant, there are plenty of turkish/moroccan/indian/pakistani restaurants, even in the city centre.

Amsterdam Dungeon if u like scary stuff...
in city center u got loads of restaurants and kool shops.
u can also go to station Amsterdam Arena if you wanna see the Arena stadium and a really kool big cinema.
If you got any questions, dun hesitate to ask.
btw u can hire a bike from rentabike and discover Amsterdam yourself
lemme know if u get lost

p.s. u just going to Amsterdam? Utrecht, Haarlem, Rotterdam and Den Haag are kool too.
Esp. the beach Scheveningen in Den Haag (The Hague) and they got some good halaal restaurants!

First of all the Red Light District has no ticket since it's referred to an area/zone if you will. It has no entrance fee.
Secondly, it is a prostitution district (obviously) and yeah you see women on displays - so if your morals, values and faith boundaries don't allow you to go there, don't.
But,
I'd say go if you get a chance, it's one of the most eye-opening experiences, the feeling of women selling themselves all around you is a very powerful and heart wrenching feeling. It's one thing to read about this stuff and entirely another to see it infront of you and particularly in the Amterdamned manner. SO yeah.
