Haven't played it...but ppl that i know who have it love it...new concept in gaming...only complaint they have is the strap that's provided with the controller...that it's not strong enuf and if someone uses big movements to play the game, once ur hand gets sweaty, the controller goes flying out and hits the TV even with the strap wrapped around tightly...
**Edit: lo and behold, Nintendo to recall straps for the controller and ship out thicker, stronger ones**

Wii in my opinion is as addicting as N64 when it first came out. Not only is it out of the ordinary but I love the fact how the harder and faster you move the control (nunchuck also) the better the gameplay. I got ps3 when it came out and wasn't that amazed but I know I'm getting 360 2morow cause I saw this new game called "Gears of War". It p()00wns!

They came out with a mod chip for the Wii, so you can *cough* backup your game DVD's and play with those. Its still a little iffy, but its out there.

About 10 minutes ago, I became proud owner of a brand new Wii. Bought it over eBay and paid an outrageous premium for it. Expect to get it in a few days. Hopefully its worth it.

why didn't you just pre-order it? And they'd have shipped it to you when it came back in stock.
If anyone else wants to buy one I can sell mine for an outrageous premium

For something that was first released on November 19, to be running into this many shipment problems even six months down the road, tells me that either Nintendo's forecasting models are horribly out of line or they have major production problems going on.
A friend of mine went to our nearby BestBuy store at 4 am this last Sunday. They had advertised that they will have a shipment of 19 Wii's on Sunday. He got into the line and at 9 am (5 hours later) he was told that he is the 20th person in the line and, yes, you guessed it, he didn't get his Wii. Sheesh! I think its the crappiest marketing and distribution campaign I have ever seen for a product in such a competitive landscape.

This is why you should should just give up and get a Xbox 360. Best distribution and best game selection of any next-gen console.
Not that the Wii is next gen...

XBox 360 and PS3 are practically for adults. With their huge focus on superlative graphics and how complex they can make the game play. I wanted something the whole family can play, with simple yet enjoyable games. More importantly with Wii, the players are actually getting up from the couch and getting some work out done too.

Actually its the demand for the Wii (for the obvious reasons Faisal mentioned) that's keeping them out of stock. I was speaking with the Nintendo World Store manager yesterday and he was telling me that they are coming in but people keep snapping them up. Probably to go out and resell them (on ebay?).
