etc, Search for Hidden Object or Spot the Difference games on google, you will find lot of em to choose.
For Girls,
Barbie and Digital makeover, Dora Saves the snow princess, barbie secret agent, And All the Diner Dash series.
These are the games i have personally tried for my nieces.
Hell was Full, So ma came Back!!!!

this braingame for Nintendo DS...Brain jogging. Is it not called Dr. Hiroshima's Brain Jogging?
Goggle it. This is the only Game I'd advise you to buy for a 4 year old! The only one!

i don't think four years would understand rpg and rts
hell i dont even understand RTS games
but i understand RPG though

Educational?
Roll playing games and Real Time Strategy is 4+ when it comes to it.
Other then that one can look up for games like barney or something like micky's house.

but kids should be playing kiddie games like jump start and those type of games

There is an RPG adventure game called Sonic 6.  when you are in town you talk with people "answer questions and all" and when you are outside of it. You play an adventure.

Using your own logic to complete certain quests could be another example such as Fabel, Fable 2.
Educational games for kids is pretty much:
Barney
Micky Mouse in the house
And so on.
