The retailer's data currently indicates a shipping date of August 24, which is less than a week from today and notably removed from the system's expected September arrival.

This is the first time I've seen a console pre-order since the tight supplies of the XBox 360 around its launch. They even had PS2 shortages for many months after it was released in North America.
