I wonder how much it sold on day one. I'm sure it's not as much as what Halo 2 and 3 sold, otherwise MS would have said something about it. With over 900k players logged, I'm sure they would have sold at least a million copies. I'm still waiting for mine to come in the mail and I pre-ordered it back in July.

Halo 2 earned them $125 million on day one and Halo 3 earned them $170 million on day one if I remember correctly. Though I don't know the number of copies that was, they both sold well over a million copies on the day they were released.

Halo is the XBox's flagship franchise. I'm surprised they didn't do a better job marketing ODST. They made a huge mistake earlier on when they said they'd release it for $30 USD as an expansion. They later decided to make it a full priced game. I'm sure that killed some of the anticipation for it.

This game is really cool, even though i didnt play online but the co-op experience was fantastic

yup i guess so, people probably belived its nothing more then an expansion

but it just didnt had that halo hype which the previous games had.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Very little hype compared to Halo 2 and Halo 3.
