Audio Gallery's TUTORIAL for AUDIO Files Sharing...

Dear Fellow Guppies,

Here is a short handy tutorial on embedding/using external links of audio files in Audio Gallery Forum.

1. Gupshup Audio Code for the Imeem website: ( www.imeem.com )

If you want to upload your files on imeem, you must register with them in order to upload.

All the uploaded files can be embedded using radio BB Code available on Gupshup.

Here is what you need to do:

- Once you find the desired audio on imeem, you will see the following portion on the website:

- From the red box above, copy the embed link to any text editor such as notepad. You will see a code similar to this:

- Once it is pasted on notepad, you grab the code after http://media.imeem.com/m/

It will be like this:

So, you will embed the code with the radio BB code as follows

and it will show up in the post as this:

- Remember, it only uploads mp3s.

Two Issues with Imeem to be NOTED:

imeem is blocked in some of the middle east countries.
Audio starts automatically.

2. Sites other than imeem where audio files are directly streamed:

- If you have a link or you have uploaded an audio file on some other site which stream a direct file such as MP3, RA, RAM, WMA, WAV, etc., then, you can use the following tags:

Another Site similar to imeem:

http://www.esnips.com/

There is no BB code available right now for this though.

3. Uploading sites used for downloading:

- You can upload your audio files on other third party sites available to upload, so the audios can be directly downloaded into the hard disk or may be streamed. Some of such locations are:

- JustUpIt.com - File Share Hosting
- RapidShare: Easy Filehosting
- MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
- FileFactory - free file hosting
- 4shared.com - free file sharing and storage
- YouShare - Free File Hosting V1.5

etc etc.

Remember, Most of the sites mentioned above host your audio for only a designated period of time...

Alternatively, if you have your own webspace where you can upload your own audio files, you can host your audios so long as you wish.
