folks, it would be good to note a source of info. The list here is not accurate. It serves little purpose if there is a list of names and I have to go search to find out whether its true or not.
also note whether it is announced versus imminent or possible scenarios
lets also differentiate between
a chain closing
going under chapter 11 but not closing
some specific stores closing

Sounds good. I was at Fortunoff today. Everything is 30-60% off. The store in White Plains had quite a large stock though, so I think there will be deeper discounts very soon. They have some BEAUTIFUL jewelery, but it needs to be like 70% off to be worth a good buy. Jewelery is 40-60% off.
