1-Is there any cheaper way to get stuff from Pakistan to Usa other than DHL/FED EX etc?
2- How reliable is Pakistan post?
Someone mentioned 'speed post' in a thread that could be tracked online, how long does that normally take to deliver?
Thanks in advance.

I've used Pakistan Post's registered service over the past few years, no complaints so far.
I started using it after a bad experience with DHL. I sent a parcel to London which was torn and some contents were missing.
PP is much cheaper and if I am paying for mishandled parcels I'd rather pay less.

^It took less than a week for a normal delivery from Lahore to Melbourne, don't know how many days Express/Fast service takes.

I asked my designer guy the same question. He feels Pak Post is not that reliable so doesn't prefer to use it. Their international speed post can also take 10-15 days to reach the client too (that's what they quoted themselves).
He lets the client choose but usually advises DHL/FedEx for really expensive, time sensitive packages, otherwise TCS.
TCS seem pretty good. Cheaper than DHL (3kg comes in just over 4,100Rs) and takes 3-5days. They also have a 'Red Box' Service where you can send 10kg box for cheap but I do not know how long that takes.

Well I recently got a package delivered safely thru Pakistan Post but those were all casual clothes. This time I have formals (pretty expensive stuff) coming and just not sure which service to use. If it wasn't such a heavy package I would just get them sent by DHL but it's pretty heavy so shipping alone could cost around $200.

i tried dhl, it sucks and its expensive... Pakistan post is slow and not very reliable but best to choose when u have to save costs(1755 Rupees for 1st kg and 455 for rest of kgs).. tcs has poor service too, rates are good..
there are many others like OCS, panther, speedex... may b someone else tried..

Use Leopards Courier from Pakistan, they use DHL to deliver in the US. Rates are also very competitive.
