Hi Guys,

Im going to Pak in Nov to do my wedding shopping. I have tons of ideas for clothes and colour combinations in my mind...all the clothes are mostly silk/banarsi/jamavar with chiffon dupattas and even chiffon suits.

My question is: Is there a place in Karachi where you can find any colour silk? Is there a specific silk place or will I have to buy white silk material and get it dyed to the colour that I need?

Same for chiffon...is there any one place that sells chiffon in all colours or will I have to get white chiffon and dye it?

I wont have much time so want to know where to go to buy my material then I can just give it to get the kaam done and stitiched.

Plz help!

if u come to islamabad, u can take colored shafoon and silk from me.. I dont know much abt khi..

Lahore mey Khan market Gulberg - there is a store that has all silk any color.
People normally go there for things like matching shalwars and what not

Try Tariq Road in Karachi.....and Gulf in Clifton.
You can find a pretty good variety....but honestly....if you need stuff dyed you can get that done overnight.

Thanks guys. Iv been going thru the threads here and have made a list of places to go to for fabrics, kaam, tailoring etc. I alway get material dyed to match my clothes to wear as a hijab...I just hope when i get material dyed over there, that it wont wash out after iv worn it a few times.
