I have been quoted $200 for this outfit from Threads and Motifs. I am not familiar with this line. It is a good price or too high?
Thanks.

Impressions in Style on facebook quotes $200 for this outfit. Does anyone know where I can get it for cheaper from online? I'm located in USA so can't go see for myself.

sure u can see my stuff at my website fashionkorner dot com , miss lara. I m not talking abt cheap copy. This is machine embroidery with resham threads. It doesn't include any work of stiara, moti, nugs, cora, dabka, etc. That's y i quoted less price. Also from whomever u order this, do not go for grip, its cheap fabric used for trousers usually. Go for 60 grams shafoon, indian raw silk. There fabrics are good for machine embroidery.

^do you consider grip as a cheap fabric?I hope you are referring to local made grip which surely is bad quality and can be bought for less than a hundred rs per yard.
TNM uses pure grip of a quality that's not available anywhere atleast in Lahore. Even 80 grams pure grip can't match to it. That's the difference between original and copies.

i m referring to three kinds of grip, the Pakistani, indian and the chinese one. Pakistani one is cheaper, the one u mentioned. The indian grip is slightly thicker but see through material and chinese is non see through material. The Pakistani one costs arnd 60 Rupees per meter, the indian one costs arnd 80 Rupees per meter and Chinese one is arnd 120 Rupees per meter. I gave u prices of pindi's wholesale fabric markets, dont know prices in other parts of Pakistan.
I don't know abt the fabrics used by TNM exactly as one can't predict exact fabric from the picture. I have seen big retail outlets using grip fabric too for the outfits on their display, as it requires less investment in using tht fabric for a show piece. But it doesn't mean its a good fabric.
There is another fabric that has better quality in this type. I dont remember its exact name, it's called shmoz(i guess). That kind of stuff is expensive n mostly used in expensive dresses. WHo knows TNM might b using that. I agree with shk_14 upto some extent.
Some dresses are cloned well, they sometimes gave same looks, but in fact are not exactly same. If u compare the original and copy side by side, u can distinguish between the both very easily. There are many issues to b looked after while cloning. The karigars are usually less literate and they dont have good senses to copy the original. Even after sometimes giving the right guidance, they ruin the outfit. Also sometimes the pictures do not appear that clear in closeup of work, so karigars have to work on some design closer to original. Sometimes it is very hard to get the matching fabric, or in cases of dying the fabric, sometimes the dyers are not that expert.
But to b honest, many outfits gave the looks of the outfits cloned from pic and we can call them cloned upto95%.
