and I am going to offer fajr and then try to sleep before going to office. Hasan is MashAllah little better now, yestarday he was very uneasy for some reason. we went to the see doctor and she said oh no he might have some gases or so, therefore nothing to worry about. So i kept holding him for more than an hour last midnight after which he was bit comfortable.

looking after infants is fun.. they do whatever they like and whenever they like .... n u try to fit in . No complains......

Stealing veggies

Posted Aug 5th, 2008 at 07:13 PM by Munni
Today bhai and Ammi went to what we refer to as the "Kashmiri store" to buy some spices. We call it that cause the owners are Kashmiri. Anyway, Ammi and bhai were standing near the vegetables when bhai noticed one of the owners of the store coming towards them and then just sort of standing there and looking (at Ammi too). He has blue eyes and is older. Ammi noticed he was watching and then started panicking. *giggle* He said Salam and so Ammi responded and started talking to him....

Spiders

Posted Aug 5th, 2008 at 05:09 PM by Munni
I just ate 240 calories of cadbury chocolate. *smack* What is wronggggggg with meeeeeeeeeeee?!?!?!?! I have no self-control. *afsoos*

My weight hasnt dropped since Saturday, cause I keep eating and eating.

Time to crank up the levels at the gym. *sigh*

On another note we have spider webs in our unfinished basement but Ammi wont let me remove them cause she says they eat the small bugs and are useful. How do I even argue with that? I'm already...

Men today

Please save us from the boo-hoo boys - Telegraph

...

In that context, witnessing a man breaking down is hugely empowering. To me, not him, obviously. But even as I am comforting him, tenderly stroking his wobbly chin, and congratulating him for not being an emotional cripple, I am despising him for his weakness.

In her incendiary new book Save The Males: Why Men Matter and Women Should Care, American newspaper columnist Kathleen Parker claims that we...

Jealousy/Envy

Posted Aug 5th, 2008 at 01:54 PM by Munni
I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday and she has this new bhabhi who she finds is a lot prettier than her. She was telling me that she feels jealous/envious that now when they go out, people stare at her bhabi. Now people comment on the bhabi and not on her.

By the way, my friend is not muslim or Pakistani. Anyway, I am wondering, do people really feel envious or jealous if someone in the family is marrying someone considered better looking??? *hoonh*

My eye....

Posted Aug 5th, 2008 at 11:35 AM by wannabe_a_mum
hurts.......
I think it might be because I did wuzu with my contacts in the other day. I am sure the hard lens is fine but the soft lens must have got some water or sumthing in it and it's killing my eye!

Will have to wear the disposable ones for a few days to sort it out.

So...last day at work until next Tuesday - would love to say that I'll be able to relax and chill and enjoy...............can't see that happening!

MIL goes home on Sunday...

Posted Aug 5th, 2008 at 05:24 AM by Daagh
couple of weeks back, we went to Isle of Wight for 3 days. it was Timki's first long trip away from home... we were a bit worried about her sleep and how she would cope with the long journey by car and then by ferry... but Alhamdolillah it was all fine... she slept well in the travel cot and she was alright with eating outside

we went to the Needles Park, Butterfly Gardens, Shanklin Chine, etc etc... here are some of the pics...

unfair

Posted Aug 5th, 2008 at 01:48 AM by ahmadjee
Every time I see a physically or mentally disabled child at a public place, e.g. mall, grocery store, airport etc. I try to imagine how he/she would be if she didn't had that condition. I imagine them running around, annoying their parents, having that sparkle in the eye and a carefree look on their faces. It breaks my heart to see such toddlers.
