Kabah

Posted Jul 17th, 2009 at 06:36 PM by Munni (Munni's Journal)

Here are some pics of my favorite House. The Kabah. I was feeling a little down today so decided to take a look at some pics of Makkah. A lovely place to be, Subhan'Allah. I hope to go one day, Insha'Allah.

So

Posted Jul 17th, 2009 at 05:25 PM by Dil-shikastah (Dil)

if something is too good to be true...

Is it really?

If you're offered a piece of heaven, will you turn it down just because you're scared?

Who goes first...?

Posted Jul 17th, 2009 at 05:10 PM by Crime Master GOGO

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:

The Prophet collected every two martyrs of Uhud (in one grave) and then he would ask, "Which of them knew the Quran more?" And if one of them was pointed out for him as having more knowledge, he would put him first in the Lahd. The Prophet said, "I will be a witness on these on the Day of Resurrection." Then he ordered them to be buried with their blood on their bodies and he did not have them washed.

May those pure souls rest in peace

Posted Jul 17th, 2009 at 05:04 PM by Submission To Peace

When the news of the crusader army that had prepared on the horizons to wipe out Islam reached him, Abu Qudaamah Ash-Shaamee moved quickly to the Mimbar of the Masjid. In a powerful and emotional speech, Abu Qudaamah ignited the desire of the community to defend their land, Jihad for the sake of Allah. As he left the Masjid, walking down a dark and secluded alley, a women stopped him and said, "As salamu alaykum wa Rahmatullaah!"

Abu Qudaamah stopped and did not answer. She

The value of one 'sincere' good deed‏

Posted Jul 17th, 2009 at 04:33 PM by R.A.W.

Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said: "A person from my ummah will be summoned in front of everyone on the Day of Resurrection. Ninety-nine scrolls (of his bad deeds) will be unfurled for him, each scroll extending as far as the eye can see. Then it will be said: Do you deny any of this [i.e. your bad deeds]? So the man will reply: No, 0 Lord. Then it will be said: Do you have any excuse or any good deed? The man, in a state of terror, will answer: No. It will then be said: Rather, you do...

cycling and ubuntu

Posted Jul 17th, 2009 at 10:10 AM by ravage

I've started cycling again, during my commute to and from work. did 15 miles yesterday overall. today didnt feel upto it, so had to cut it down a couple of miles. Still, feels good to start again. Bit of a pain having to keep the cycle indoors but people would muck around with the last one just for the heck of it if I kept it outside. In the end they stole the chain from it and in general twisted the tyres around. one of the pitfalls of living in east london. rent is dirt cheap though.
