Wow time flies like you won't believe!!!! I am supposed to be back at work on 11/20/09 as of now, unless my baree walee approves my vacation days (not sure what other time i can take 3 & 1/2 weeks!!!). Khair I am going thru like this depressive mood I guess.....just pray everything works out and Allah watches over my little parri. Here are few pics of the little munchkin and her bhai.

So now Umaiza will be 4 weeks old Friday and about a month this weekend, Mashallah. She is doing pretty good, getting better with the feeding etc....just have to figure out what to do about her being up most of the night!!!

I think soon we have to develop some kind of a routine for her, desperately need it with 2 kids and eventually going back to work. aRGHH!!! Just enjoying my time now.

Also need to get moving on the whole shopping ordeal with furnishing the new...

Boy does time fly!! Umaiza is now 17 days old Mashallah, and slowly getting a little more active. For the most part she has been a pretty good baby. At this point she sleeps through most of the day and wakes up for feedings and just to be held My jaani choti sari.....pics below.

I am feeling much better than before, will still take time to heal, but feeling TONS better - no more pain killers. Yeay!!!!

The 1st week she didn't gain any weight so doc was mildly concerned...

We named her Umaiza.

She came earlier than expected, as my c-section was scheduled for the 14th. I didn't know it but I was having contractions for a bit and they got very strong on Thursday (09/10) night. The pain got so bad that I could not walk, sit/stand/lay down nothing. It started out as a sharp pain in my left side, but I just assumed baby was in a bad position....

Well I have been home since last Wednesday. I got several doc appointments out of the way, including sonogram. Umm yeah so the baby is STILL in transverse position....according to doc "unstable" becasue baby keeps shifting between transverse & vertex positions. My luck, this is like a 1 out of 1500 thing...but anyways. I have been scheduled for a c-section on Monday Sept. 14th 2009 Inshallah.

That is fine, I will get through it, I already had a c-section so I know...

So today is my last day at work, and I guess I am glad now as it really is tough getting into work and sitting through the day. I had a doctor's appointment last night and doc kinda yelled me as to why I am still at work.

Anyways overall I am doing ok, a bit big in the belly but that's fine. The issue is I have NO muscle tone left in my abdomen. Also position of the baby is transverse/breech so she told me previously highly likely it will be a c-section. Since there is no improvement,...

So please give me your opinions on how much an elder sibling should be taught/prepared about arrival of a new baby sibling?

I try to tell me son that he is a big boy & will soon be a big brother etc. just to prepare him. I think I mentioned that the baby is in my belly...moreso that he can be careful cuz he tries to use my belly as a jumping point thinking its a big cushion. I am not sure WHY but I am still at work. Decided to see how far I can go before succumbing to the doctor's order of staying home now. But no I think Wednesday is my last day, just wanted to take care of some stuff before I go away on Disability & then maternity. I know I am nuts, but I am sure subconsciouly the manager would look at this during review time if I left reports etc undone. Whatever just a few more days left. Not like I can rest at home either. I can not sit/stand/walk/lay...

A co-worker passed away at work this afternoon, it was just horrific to witness. I really really wish I didn't have to see that or hadn't seen it happening.

He was discovered at his desk, someone thought he was sleeping and tried to wake him up. He didn't respond so they called paramedics etc. They arrived quickly, but no success with CPR, recussitation. Not sure what it is but he was also given Adrenaline with no luck. THis was...

This is just a reminder for myself:

We have been house hunting for several months now & finally found a property we like. Let me clarify, a property we like, can afford, and got approved on. Let me tell you, it was a very hectic & crazy process, esp. during pregnancy. Also it was a Short-Sale so there was a lot of drama. Alhumdulillah we are 1st time homeowners now as Wednesday, 08/12 was our closing date.

I remember we really started looking when...

I am almost there!!!! Yeah Baby! As much as I complain about the aches & pains of pregnancy, it is now starting to kick in that...holy cow I am going to have a newborn on hand very soon!!! Ackkk!! What do I do....hehe a tad bit nervous & excited all in the same. It is hard to explain, I am happy but also worrisome at the same time. Like will I be a good mother to 2 kids, will I love them equally, how will I manage taking care of them both? Will S love his new sibling, will he be jealous....

So yesterday the office people threw me a lovely surprise baby shower & I actually had no idea about it. Normally I pick up on a hint or something and have a hunch. I walked into a desk decorated with yellow/teal/pink streamer stuff, lovely flower bouquets and some balloons. They did a breakfast for me, where everyone brought in a ton of food. I LOVE breakfast

Then later we had a monthly meeting and at the end of it they gave me a cute card and a generous gift certificate....

I am getting closer to the finish line, but WHY does it seem so much harder now that im nearing the end. The back & ligament pain is ridiculous now! I have to get up very slow, and kinda stretch it out 1st and then walk half way normal. Oh and now I think I have been getting the Braxton Hicks contractions irregularly, how do I describe .... just odd tightening sensation that makes me stop for a minute and breathe and gently rub my tummy! Mommies is that how you felt when you were preggo?...

We received horrific downpours yesterday here in the Tri-State. I went out for lunch yesterday and as soon as I placed my order i hear the thunder and started pouring cats n dogs while I had no umbrella. You can only imagine a preggo lady trying to marsh as fast as she can to her car ....was totally soaked

Then left work at 4:30 and what normally takes me maybe 25 minutes to get home, took me a little more than 2 hours!!!! Even had a bathroom emergency, but no bathroom in sight!!!...
