Baby Girl born September 11, 2009, at 6:52 AM. 8 pounds, 20 inches.

We named her Umaiza.

She came earlier than expected, as my c-section was scheduled for the 14th. I didn't know it but I was having contractions for a bit and they got very strong on Thursday (09/10) night. The pain got so bad that I could not walk, sit/stand/lay down nothing. It started out as a sharp pain in my left side, but I just assumed baby was in a bad position. Anyways after being kept on monitors and junk for like 8-9 hours, finally the idiots did the c-section and Umaiza was born. They were initially trying to stop the contractions for whatever reason. I think the doctor just didnt want to come to the hospital in the middle of the night!!!!!! I had no chance at natural delivery, as the baby was in a transverse to sideways position.

More details & pics to come later. Right now just recovering from the surgery, and they had to make a bigger incision than normal as they werent able to take the baby out easily with the normal bikini cut......i will try to get more answers today at my doc visit....argh!! Yeah so I have like almost a waist to waist incision....wanna hurt somebody!!!!

Anyways Alhumdulillah baby was born healthy and fine so I am thankful for that. My son is doing ok so far, bouts of love and jelousy for his sis but he will be fine in due time Inshallah.

	congrats Afro - she's adorable. Hope you are recovering. Don't worry about the waist to waist incision. I have a matching one too. It will heal - just take REALLY good care of yourself for the next 6 weeks or so.

	Thanks guys, I am very thankful. She already has her Baba wrapped around her finger....hehe it is so cute. He jumps like 5 feet at the sound of a whimper...hehe Surprisingly she looked almost exactly like her brother when he was born, but now has her own look. Also it was awesome that she was born on the last Jumma of Ramadan.
