You know, being in pain for the past few days, I have realized why most old people become bitter. Because as their health goes south, they are in constant pain for one reason or another and when someone is in pain, they snap.
Mystery solved.

Dear Misbah,
Your Mom and I went to your first real parent-teacher conference yesterday. I have to admit that I enjoyed playing with you in the school play ground more so than the meeting. No matter how exciting and rewarding my job ever be, it will never come close to the happiness that comes from spending time with you.
Your teacher said you were off the charts in reading and math and your writing skills were not that far behind either. I knew it already so what really...

In one of my group projects I have a member who is from South Korea, with a very thick South Korean accent, while one of the other is from India, named Sri.
During a project discussion where Sri was absent, my Korean partner said:
W: I think Sri should do it.
Me: Three? No I don't think so.
W: No no, Sri will be perfect. I think it will work out.
Me: Umm .. why do we need three to do it?
W: Well ... it needs a lot of work.
Me: Yeah but...

I don't like putting people on the pedestal and certainly hate being put there cos I fall flat on my face 100% of the time. I like Obama, I voted for him, I will vote for him again but this whole Nobel prize is just charming him up for something that is yet to materialize. I think politicians, just like children shouldn't be praised too much or it gets to their head.
It is sad that there were 146 who voted against the hate crime bill. I don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle...

Reading this news really aggravated me yesterday and I had an entry planned for it but I think I will vent some other day.
One of the joys I had in Canada was to eat fresh dodh jalabi. Here the jalebi you get is mailed in from places like Chicago and New York and isn't made fresh, so it doesn't taste right. But in Canada, I had the pleasure of getting the fresh off the fire jalebi in warm milk. It was awesome.
Speaking of cravings, remember the Pad Thai one? Well, I am...

Nadia wanted to make up one of her missed rozas today, so after fajr we went to see the sunrise from the Flatstaff. With the perfect not so cold, not so hot breeze, it was awesome!

... living in Canada, who can actually own a house rent out their basements? Or have a relative living in it?
Or just 99.9% of them?

... you may hate the ignorance.
If the comments that my co-workers made this week were made by Nadia's co-workers, she would have been offended if not mad. Actually I think most of the Muslims that I know would have taken an offense to similar comments. Or at least gone all defensive as if they were suggesting something between the lines. Actually these are milder comments, I have heard worse. I would list 'em here but they might turn some of you off from reading the rest of the entry....

Dinner / Aftari: A plate full of chawal and Nadia's killer salmon kabab. Chai + cake. Gatorade.
Sehr: Water.
He's backkk! Hee isss backkkk! Yess! I was having major MAJOR withdrawals. Funny how little things in life make it all just fall into place. Now if I can just go back to my running routine after fajr, life will back to normal.
Plan for Pakistan trip in December is falling apart. I don't have enough vacation, the plane ticket is costing me an arm...

Spiritual life is very much like the stock market. Either we are going up or we are going down, it is a rare day that we are constant. If we think we are constant, most often than not we are going down, we just don't want to admit it. And no one just keeps going up every single day, it just does not happen. But most of all, we can't improve somethings unless we can...
