Settling down...

Posted Sep 3rd, 2009 at 12:41 PM by Ansoon

So I have been graduated from university for about 1 year or so .. for the past 5-6 yrs of my life i have been living alone, away from the family.. with a new roommate almost every year. I have been living a "student" life to the max.. lol just getting by with the minimal stuff required to survive..

now i am thinking of "settling down".. setup my living room to be more than just a "crash landing zone for friends"..

So off i go to furniture store to look for couches and holy cow!! they are expensive.. $600 for the couch (i am sure that is the regular price lol, i just haven't made this sort of investment before)

also i am debating if I should stick with having roommates or just find myself a 1bd apartment and set it up as my "bachelor pad" lol..

how does one transit into this stage of life? my family are 5 hours away from where I live.. they want me to move back with them.. i have no problems in moving back, except I don't wnt to loose the freedom of living alone.. i like cooking and experimenting with food, but i know that once i move back, kitchen will be off limit.. most of my friends are in this city and that is another thing that i will loose..

hmm another decision to make.. tips? suggestions? your experience in life? gupshup?

PS: I didn't get to eat anything in sehri.. so now my stomach is making weird noises .. and i am at work.. doh!

Heh, and I thought this was going to be a post about settling down in Pakistan.
Living away sounds like such a blast. I'd love it. Do it. btw... settling back at home, while sounds nice, is hard to adjust to once u've been on ur own for many years. I know I couldn't go back to it.
