the translation of the title, for the benefit of those, who don't understand a lot of urdu, is: the matter of the life and death of Jesus
a while ago, I had a discussion in the religion forum on this topic with some other members who believed, as most muslims do, that Jesus was bodily taken up to the heavens and still lives there, waiting to return to earth at some later time.
For a whole week i continually asked people to show where in Qura'an and Hadith was such an event mentioned but no one was able to come up with a single hadith or a single ayah in support of this belief. Further, there are some other beliefs held by muslims, which have no basis in islam such as transfiguration of a thief so that he appeared as Jesus and was hanged on the cross in his stead.
When there is no basis whatsoever for such beliefs, then why are they promoted as absolute truths and those who dare to contradict these beliefs are labeled as heretics.
Contrary to the belief of Jesus being alive in the heavens, the Holy Qura'an mentions the death of Jesus more specifically and more often than of any other human being. Moreover, the ahadith, acts of sahaba, and the sayings and beliefs of pious people from all ages support the belief that Jesus died a natural death.
I was going to post such proofs in that thread, but it was locked before i could so i am going to post a link to a small booklet which outlines the proofs in favor of Jesus' natural death. Our job is to lay out the truth, whether someone accepts it or not is up to them and they are directly answerable to Allah for their actions. In the words of the Promised Messiah:
So here is the link for the benefit of those who might be interested in it. The book is in urdu but if enough people show interest, i'll try to summarize it in english.
