Are you serious sheyn? Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving - which will fall Nov. 27th this year. Stores open at 5 am and they have huge specials. Like, last year, I got a printer that is normally priced at 75 or above at 25. I got a fantastic espresso maker at 25, which would normally have cost me 60 dollars. Huge markdowns. Problem is that there are always a few big ticket items (like a plasma TV for 200 dollars or a digital camera for 40 bucks) and the lines are HUUUUGE in wait for those items. The stores will have a limited number in stock. So for ex, Best Buy has a line that starts forming the evening before. First 100 people in line who want object X will get object X if they only have 100 in stock at that store. So people spend the entire night waiting for the big ticket items - they just set up camp outside the stores. It's a big tradition in the US. The fliers for Black Friday come into your mail the evening before so you can mark what you want and figure out a gameplan for the next morning. It involves a great deal of strategic planning, honestly. You gotta know where to park your car, where you're gonna walk, which order of stores you're gonna go in. My family and I split up. We each take a different store, and have a list of what we want. So, one will be at Macy's, one at Office Depot, one at Target. We've never tried to camp outside Best Buy but every year I say I'm going to do it, and then I never do. Brandsmart puts on big sales too. This year, I'm going to try for a TV and a printer. We'll see what the sales bring in. Also, what they're doing now, due to previous accidents and deaths that have happened from people stampeding when the doors open, stores are putting out their black friday stocks slowly the weekends before. So every weekend in Nov - look at your fliers and you'll see some good deals, and you can just work on getting those. Even those will go fast. I remember last year, I was getting some ink refills at one of the computer/office stores, and they put out HP laptops for 300 dollars and threw in a free printer. I hadn't checked the flier, but by 10 am, the last one was gone. So even those, you have to watch out for and compete for...
