Conscience

Posted Aug 20th, 2009 at 07:20 PM by Croquet

One man capable and guilty of delibereately killing another yet lucky enough to preserve conscience to guide him is almost a bittersweet reality. Makes me think, many of us donot commit crimes as grave as murder because we
  1. simply shirk away from taking another life,
  2. some are incapable of the voilence required and
  3. some who are merely afraid of the deed catching up to them.
May Allah protect all from voilence and savagery.
I have never really given murder a thought till i was...

Beat

Posted Jul 28th, 2009 at 06:13 AM by Croquet

At times you just echo the sentiments of others because your own are so screwed up to coherently articulate. It is generally a very bad idea. But somehow every now and then it works.

World is an ugly place and every day or every other day it deals you a rough hand to remind you of its very nature. I think that the time of death and birth are so uncertain because that in itself reminds us how temporary the stay here is and the fact that we can get pulled off from this job without any...

Fine detail or bigger picture?

Posted Jul 11th, 2009 at 09:11 PM by Croquet

So i find focusing on anyone of these could land you in trouble. What does that mean? That, children, gives us the message of damned if you do or damned if you dont. Sometimes every one is out to get you, life is designed to toughen you up, the birds are patrolling the skies just so they could land one on you and bla bla bla.

Yea my didactic drift is on along with weekend spirit.

Teacher 'tried to kill' student, 14, in class

Posted Jul 9th, 2009 at 07:58 PM by Croquet

http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sto...71-663,00.html

If only this happened in a madrassa there would've been a media circus around it. Read the sketchy reporting where investigators are still trying to establish what"happened"? Even though it happened in front of an entire class. Nutcases exist in any religion i hate the feeling on always being on the defensive foot when it comes to Australian media. I hope Andrew bolt of herald chokes on this.

Kids

cant do much with them. If you haven't any then you are more likely to have a heart ache and if you have them then you most definitely have a head ache. Mine attended her first ever crafts work activity. Made a frog and is proud as punch today mashAllah. Of course i love that frog.

Grief

Posted Jul 5th, 2009 at 12:23 AM by Croquet

Death is such a bleak reminder of how trivial everything and every relationship is. How temporary an unimportant we are. How Allah is the strong one and we are absolutely insignificant. Every time this realization hits me i am overcome by baffling grief and anguish. Coming to terms with this reality is so tricky since i am inclined to let it slip from my mind at the first distraction.

anotehr piece of puzzle

Posted Jun 11th, 2009 at 06:46 PM by Croquet

well for me anyhow since i never paid shakespeare any mind until i was forced to.

so the guy was a suck up to king james because his theatre company was financially bestowed some favour upon. This little tid bit and the alterations to the old raphael holinshed's chronicle to better appeal the monarch puts the entire integrity (which i never saw in it to begin with) of macbeth into spiralling jeopardy. so that gives me an academically legitimate angle to diss shakespeare and feel all...

i cant figure out

Posted May 26th, 2009 at 07:45 PM by Croquet

i love my kiddo because she is lovable or she is lovable because i love her?

when i was unmarried , i used to see people errecting those stiffy little ponies that fell short of forming a tail right in the centre of head of their girls in sky ward direction. It was called khajoor ka darakht by many and i always used to think why give your child a hideous hair style. Yesterday i am playing with her hair and use this big ugly scrunchy to plonk right in the middle of her head and then fall...

Rain on me

Posted May 7th, 2009 at 03:20 AM by Croquet

so what was shakespeare thinking of when he thought of three witched in macbeth? banquo was there the first time macbeth had the pleasure to meet them, so truly they cant be all imagination on macbeth's part but at the same time the last interaction between macbeth and the evil demonic presence is through three apparation, how real do you think they were?and what on earth is the narrative purpose of dream in the the nun's priest tale? and however did i manage to complete first essay to begin on...

Us and Them

Posted May 5th, 2009 at 11:58 PM by Croquet

Another book that i finished yesterday.i have a habit of starting two or three at the same time and depending on my little ones mood i go with one of them the quickest. Children can be distraction so you pick a page turner when they are zoned out. So anyhow, Peter Manning is the writer. Talks about muslim depiction and islamic represenation in Australian media. Those of us who arent from australia will probably not be that aware of the issue, since muslims are horrendously stereotyped in western...

Arabia to Saudi Arabia

Posted May 4th, 2009 at 03:52 AM by Croquet

A while ago i read a book by the writer Said K. Aburish. Name of the book was The rise, corruption and coming fall of the house of Saud. I found it very very interesting and from so far what i have read ( and i admit i havent read all that much) i found its research to be painstakingly refined. In my opinion a candid book with alot of emotion, needless to say. To anyone interested in a balanced view , i would recommend it. The guy writing this book is a palestinian and perhaps that is one of the...

Posted May 1st, 2009 at 12:12 AM by Croquet

about chomsky, this time its loewenstein. Antony loewenstein http://antonyloewenstein.com/blog/. A book that he wrote couple of years back My Israel Question was a very candid view of the matter which required alot of guts . one can see the propoganda against the guy on AIJAC's site but much worse is to be seen on the jihad watch and similar cyber drivel the sort that Geert Wilder will probably revel in. However all these intellectuals chomsky, loewenstein, howard zin come from jewish back grounds...

Worth in parallel worlds?

Posted Apr 23rd, 2009 at 11:45 PM by Croquet

What sets the worth of a person in one's eyes and in the society? and what indeed is the original worth? Going islamic and it is my most opted for route, surely the Creator knows the worth. However lately the semantics have led me to think that in current age perhaps the direst sin of a person is not to be a go getter in society and perhaps the very sin becomes the worthiest trait in hereafter. World has intergrated so badly, corrupted to the root so utterly that the division is getting starker...
