Arabia to Saudi Arabia

A while ago i read a book by the writer Said K. Aburish. Name of the book was The rise, corruption and coming fall of the house of Saud. I found it very very interesting and from so far what i have read ( and i admit i havent read all that much) i found its research to be painstakingly refined. In my opinion a candid book with alot of emotion, needless to say. To anyone interested in a balanced view , i would recommend it. The guy writing this book is a palestinian and perhaps that is one of the reasons why it doesnt bother the sensibilities of a muslim as much. For although he is far away from being a practising muslim, at least he doesnot resort to the propogandist view and just rubbish all and everything concerned with house of saud. In fact he gives you long and well researched history. Much better than the trash that i read by an italian woman , whose name escapes me right this moment. The book was about cultural shock in emirates. Quite a racist book with minute amount of readings and research to support the assertions made. Not the sort of material you can use to produce a politically correct academic essay and here is the kick, she was a lecturer i think in california and working as an academic in emirates. beats me. on bright side it was cheap and even the amount desired was a tad bit much for the sloppy work produced.
