we took Lamiya to this crafty cafe thingee where you can paint and do stuff on ceramic items then they bake them and give you a glazed one after a couple of days...

we took her foot prints on 2 square plates, one for my side of family in India and one for Fatee's family in Pak... we added all the details like date of birth, weight, time etc as well... and then I showed some of my super duper creativeness and made a mess of my plate i will post the pictures of the plates once...

this one is before her aqiqa when she had hair... now shes all taklu

yes thats what we named our timki... Lamiya means radiant, lustrous

she had her aqiqa done yesterday so shes all taklu now :-)

humara bacha is 3 weeks old now mashaAllah se... and now she responds to sounds and holds my fingers :-D

baby and fatee are at home now... fatee is recovering fine... complete rest, fatee's ammi is here and it is such a relief when elders are around you...

baby is so pyaari si... and i just keep touching her and kissing her... still cant believe i am a dad and she is our daughter

soooooo my right knee is again playing games...three months back it was my left foot n now my right knee has swollen up into a pumpkin...on bed since yesterday taking anti-inflammatory and pain killers...my gp thinks i should wait for 3 more days and see if the pain n swelling subsides before she refers me to a rheumatologist

my younger bro is here from India for 5-6 weeks but we still havent taken him to do the touristy bits....he is doing good care of me n doing reiki on me......

weekend atlast...

It was amazingly sunny and pleasent over the weekend, fatee and I decided to go for a long walk and we roamed around Kingston for like 6 hours... we spent some time on the river, sat on bench in the town center and listened to a band playing there... then we went for some organic stuff shopping like dried fruits, seeds, home made natural soaps and shampoos and what not...

a lady at one of the shops convinced me to buy these two tintures when i asked her if she has something as replacement...

Fatee's friend does these paintings and other creative work... this is the painting she recently did... we are going to see them over the weeekend and i might buy this one from her... she is one gifted girl mashaAllah se... will search for some more of her work and post here...

I have been enlightened today with some pearls of wisdom... not by sitting under a Banyan tree for 100s of years and meditation but by a mere piece of a cookie... yup you got it right...

I am very delighted to say that the best thing in this world is a 'just out of oven' hot cookie...

almost a year since i packed my camera and went somewhere for photography last time i remember was in February when fatee went to Pak and I use to go every weekend... then we got busy with India trip and then fatee ki tabiyat kharaab then mera foot...

inshaAllah will go sometime next week if weather permits and my foot is alright... waise the winter is not that good this year... some trees are without leaves, some with leaves and on some plants flowers are still blooming...

I need a logo for my company... my bro will be coming from India in a couple of weeks inshaAllah and I could get him make some business cards and letterpads for the company if i get this logo thingee sorted
