The paranormal/conspiracy board on gamefaqs that is. Some author starts telling a story, keeping the audience waiting for more. Then all of a sudden, he disappears. Either that or he reveals that the one behind everything was the cookie monster.

There are two similarities here:
1. The author disappears and never finishes the story.
2. The credibility of some of the stories you'll read on the two message boards.
