This is my final post on this website and I won't be coming back this time, guaranteed! Some 'material' (so to speak) has been brought to my attention which circulated privately about me. It had in it a lot of personal comments about me and amongst other things in it, I have been called an attention seeker, mr. know it all etc,

I have been deeply hurt by those comments made by 4 senior members and as a person I don't think I should have those kind of comments made about me since I don't make it private with anybody. You come online, have a discussion or a laugh and leave it at that, no need to take it to great lengths!

Since signing up on this website in November 2002, I haven't had a major falling out with anybody other than minor disagreements and in return this is the respect I get.

After what has happened now, for me it is going to be difficult to share the same space on here with them as It'll be as good as an insult.

Finally as I wrap up, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Azkar Chaudry and some other members whom it has been a pleasure interacting with.

It's been a testing year for Pakistanis, having to come to terms with: political turmoil; lack of basic utilities; suicide bombings; Tehreek-e-Taliban; rise in unemployment and poverty; analysts predicting Pakistan would collapse in months etc. YET despite the odds with Allah's fazal and karam Pakistan is here and it's here to stay!

Shaad aur Aabaad rahay PAK sarzameen, Amen!

May Allah bless Pakistan till the end of time.

How goes it peeps? Hope all is well. It's been a while so I thought I'd pop in and say hello. Allah ka karam hai, I'm alive and well. Life is progressing at a fast pace and a lot has happened in the past few months.

Unfortunately a close friend of mine died in an accident In April and is survived by a wife and 2 young kids. One of those moment which just won't register in your mind. A man in the prime of his life is gone but iss main bhe Allah ke hikmat hai, not much we can do about it.

Acha yaaro phir milenge.

After having had my break from Gupshup rudely interrupted by a lively threat and me returning to confront that person; I think It's wise to say I have made my point and It's time to honour my commitments and head off until at least the summer.

I have some important weeks coming up and will be busy. At a personal level guys, my bhai and behan are getting engaged in Pakistan next month, do take a moment out of your time (If you can) and say a little prayer for them as it's a start of something for them.

Inshallah zindagi rahi tau millain gay later this year.

Being Threatened

Was on a planned break but 1 threatening email by a GS member bought me back to give my piece of mind to this person. I Won't go into great detail about it as that reply of mine was deleted and this will be to If I 'spill the beans'!

Have you guys ever been threatened by dire circumstances? By that I mean having you and your family threatened by having the heavies sent to your home. Am very annoyed at the whole episode and am amazed at how freely this person is being allowed to throw his weight about the place with his rhythmic couplets and no action is taken against him by the management maybe because of his status.

Tot smilied at me.

At work on Saturday, I served a customer who had her baby with her. He was I'd say between 6-12 months old. Gool matool cute tot. Anyhow his mam was busy finding her purse when he started to gurgle :D and I looked at him and smiled and he smiled back so beautifully and that really made my day. I wanted to hold the kid but obviously kaam kar raha tha and kissi aur ka bachha tha so couldn't.

Reason for sharing this is because a few years ago a friend of the family had twins and their Mother brought them to our house and I looked at them both and smiled but they started crying hysterically after my smile. So I'm thinking to myself, what must be wrong with me but now after a few years it's deja vu but a welcome one.

The rather partisan crowd in Chennai were on their feet and they gave Saeed Anwar a standing ovation when he was finally out for a ODI world record score of 194.

How much influence do Laug have in the decisions your family make? Or do you brave it out and do your own thing and let the people have a flutter!

For instance your daughter is getting married soon and you must stick with the norm in your part of the world and provide the necessary furniture (even if you won't be living in Pakistan but at least the in laws will benefit from it!). Must wear gold as costume jewellery say buk buk shouro ho jaee ge. Lehnga must be of a certain standard...........

It's so annoying when you are different but you are born into a culture of pleasing (for the sake of keeping face)! It's so not you but you must not share your point of view (on a certain subject) because that's a form of disrespect to your elders and it's not generally accepted in your baradari and laug will start to talk. One can't help but feel sick sometimes of the mental strain brings Pakistaniyat.

Ghajini

Sis' and I went to the UCI to watch Ghajini yesterday. I thought the turnout would be weak given it was a Sunday and a late screening but it was close to full house.

Got to Metro Centre early and had just bought the ticket(s) when a bit of banter between a couple of Asians developed into a verbal argument, just about adjacent to us.

Sabh ke nazrain ghoomi in that direction. :mudhosh:
It was hard to ascertain what was said but they were pretty loud. A girl especially seemed irritated and she gave this guy a piece of her mind (so to speak). 1 sentence that was clearly audible from her was: Got some ik to say to me Paki .....

Theatre kay bahir he Ghajini *sweet popcorn kaho mast ho jao*

After that appetizer we went into the screen @ 20.00 and a few promos later the movie started. Overall I thought it was a solid movie full of emotions. Aamir Khan was as usual fantastic and I love the professionalism of the guy and his work ethic is top notch. :k:

Asin was very impressive and funny @ times. Jiah Khan has a bit role in the movie and a better baddie with more muscle was required for this type of role.

90's ke yaad taaza ho gayee, watched a 3 hour film after a long time. And after a rather eventful evening, said goodbye to the credits and got home after Midnight.

Father jailed for life for snapping baby's Spine!

A father who murdered his baby daughter by snapping her spine in half was jailed for at least 22 years yesterday.

Jobless James Howson, 25, twisted the arms and legs of his 16-month-old daughter Amy before breaking her spine by slamming her over either his knee or the back of a chair.

Howson carried out his evil act 11 years after he was excluded from school for violence.

A psychiatric report chillingly warned: �The teacher feels this boy will commit a murder. She has never seen such a disturbed young man.�

Chronically undernourished, Amy endured months of abuse at the hands of Howson and suffered more than 40 injuries without her mother Tina Hunt, 26, intervening.

Hunt, who was in the house when Amy was murdered, walked free from court with a suspended 12-month jail sentence after admitting cruelty.

Jailing Howson for life with a minimum term of 22 years, Judge Mrs Justice Cox said: �You deliberately inflicted horrific injuries on your defenceless daughter from which she died within hours."

�This was a chilling and brutal act. The force you used upon her must have been considerable.�

The judge let Hunt escape with a suspended sentence because she was of low intellect and unable to tell anyone about Amy�s plight out of fear of her dominating partner.

But that provoked anger from Detective Superintendent Carl Sturgess, who said: �It has been a most wicked and evil murder of an innocent child.

�The catalogue of horrific injuries were some of the worst I have seen in 30 years of policing.

�The two very people who should have been providing love and protection to this child brought her nothing but misery.�

He added: �We were led to believe that Tina Hunt is of low intelligence and was scared of James Howson. But I would ask what reasonable person would sit back for eight weeks of this child�s life and let her suffer in this manner?�

Amy�s grandfather Colin Hunt, 48, said: �Howson should have got longer. He killed a 16-month-old baby and should not be let out of jail at all.

�I honestly thought Tina might have been jailed for up to six years. It�s a bonus she�s not been locked up. She�s been through a lot herself, bless her.

�She was so controlled by Howson she couldn�t even tell me what was happening to Amy. If she had, Amy would be alive today.�

During Howson�s two-week trial at Leeds Crown Court he tried to blame Amy�s death on his partner, who at the time was pregnant with their second child.

The jury was told the couple, from Edlington, Doncaster, hardly spoke after falling out a few months before Amy�s death because Howson did not want another child.

In the last two months before Amy was found dead at home on December 23 last year, Howson repeatedly punched, slapped and squeezed her, causing seven fractures, before breaking her back.

The kind that don't deserve to have kids. Guy got life (which should mean life) but he's eligible for parole after serving 22 years; which is something he doesn't deserve after his antics.
