I am a proud Pakistani.
I was so proud this afternoon, Pakistan was being mentioned on a local radio station of my city in USA. That too in the context of Olympic Games . No other country was mentioned in that news commentary. Only China for hosting the Olympics, USA because this is USA, then Pakistan , wow such a tiny country and its name being mentioned with big names. I was so proud , the commentator said Pakistan has very unique distinction. No other team has this distinction. I was all ears to listen to that distinction feeling so proud and mighty.
He said the distinction is that Pakistan sent a 35 member delegation to the games, 21 members are hockey players and 14 members of delegation are officials. He was saying that this is very unique distinction Pakistan has . Highest officials to players ratio.

Sab free mey Olympics dekhnay jaateiN hai!
My dad was director of the leading sports institute in India, in fact he has a long attachment to Olympics being the first Indian physician to ever accompany an Olympic team. Since then, he saw the rising number of officials who would do ANYTHING to go, small conferences, research committee memberships, "help" whatever.Posted Aug 8th, 2008 at 04:01 PM by Niksik

I believe that is not correct information.
Pakistan is participating in more games, including swimming , shooting, boxing etc. ( in last olympics they won some bronze or silver medal in some game)
So either you are or that guy was mocking pakistan un-neccessarily
Although pakistan has very grim chance of winning any medals but still more grave situation is for india who sends a much larger deligation and still dont bring any medals home
despite having 1/6 th of world's total populationPosted Aug 9th, 2008 at 01:32 AM by Code_Red

The "mistake"Quote:He said the distinction is that Pakistan sent a 35 member delegation to the games, 21 members are hockey players and 14 members of delegation are officials.
Unless some hockey players are taking part in swiming , shooting , athletics ... I seriously doubt that Pakistani men's hockey team is playing two female players
