It is supposed to be land of plenty and abundance. Right ? Nooo, Wrong !!!
The free ways all over US which are supposed to help masses reach their destination faster, choke during rush hours and become parking lots.
The trains and buses are over crowded during those hours like all third world countries.
When it does not rain for one season in any county , the water restrictions get in place and all the lush green neighborhoods turn into dessert. You cannot even wash your car.
If a severe Ice storm or thunderstorm hits a metropolitan area the electricity returns after one week.
Last but not the least every school opening season if you go to stores during last days of school supplies shopping for kids , those isles and bins are empty you have to drive from store to store to make sure that you buy all the required note books and note book papers still you will have to wait for another week to complete the shopping list.
WTH , am I living in a third world country or America becoming a third world country.
Amreeka ka kia banay ga ?

@ Gemini I admire your patriotism for USA , but I have lived in suburbs of LA, suburbs of San Fran, Suburbs of Chicago, Suburbs of Milwaukee, Indianapolis, yes now I live in a pind of USA and I love it here life is beautiful here. But all the problems I listed in my blog apply to all the USA. I have done IT consulting for long so I have been to many many cities of USA.Posted Aug 27th, 2008 at 01:28 PM by Mirch

@sweetie , that is so third world country mentality , buy stuff one month before ramadan it will get expensive, buy clothes before eid , they will get expensive, buy bakra 2 month before bakra eid they will get expensive. I do not go for buying items on sale , I am talking about how poor the sales forecast is at the corporate level in USA , the store managers never have adequate stock of the stuff in their zeal to keep their cost of inventory down and for fear of marking down the stuff after the season and then in turn getting low bonuses.Posted Aug 27th, 2008 at 02:00 PM by Mirch

I found the initial note very strange. Things are really not that horrible as portrayed. Besides, I would say, US is a big country. So if you are finding it hard at one place, move over to another state. You'll be in a better shape. But yes, every place has its pros & cons. So think before you move.Posted Aug 27th, 2008 at 03:41 PM by SID_NY
