It makes me think either we are a nation of dimwits or the brain of the poster got liquefied and drained out.
And then those who want to know how to get visa for USA or Australia , don't they know how to use google ?

I love food and snacks. My wife loves cooking and makes very awesome desi dishes and desi snacks.
Now at the iftar time if there are things like , patties ( puff pastry stuffed with qeema) , Cholay, various kinds of pakoray , fruit chaat, spring rolls, samosay and dahi baray on the table ,how can you resist and stop short of over stuffing yourself and keep some space for exotic food after the namaz a maghrib.
We live in a neighborhood where there are many other Muslim families living nearby so every other day someone will send a platter of Iftari also. That adds more variety to the iftari.
But as I said I love food , therefore I cannot resist to eat some biryani , qorma , shami kabab or nihari after salaat al maghrib.
So during ramazan the roza is not my test. My test is the food on the table which I have to resist to over eat.
I have been telling my wife to either make and serve loads of iftari or hold off the iftari and just make the food . But she comes from a family where it was customary to celebrate Ramazan this way. In her family and mine too , Ramazan used to be a festival of foods.
Now we have growing kids who love food too and my BIL and his wife are living with us this ramazan too so she cannot short change anybody on this festival of foods. She wants to be a good hostess.
We do not worry as all of us are on exercise routine. Even my teen ager does workout. I was on treadmill last night after iftar for 30 minutes and before iftaar I did a regimen of going up and down our stairs for about 15 minutes.

It is supposed to be land of plenty and abundance. Right ? Nooo, Wrong !!!
The free ways all over US which are supposed to help masses reach their destination faster, choke during rush hours and become parking lots.
The trains and buses are over crowded during those hours like all third world countries.
When it does not rain for one season in any county , the water restrictions get in place and all the lush green neighborhoods turn into dessert. You cannot even wash your car.
If a severe Ice storm or thunderstorm hits a metropolitan area the electricity returns after one week.
Last but not the least every school opening season if you go to stores during last days of school supplies shopping for kids , those isles and bins are empty you have to drive from store to store to make sure that you buy all the required note books and note book papers still you will have to wait for another week to complete the shopping list.
WTH , am I living in a third world country or America becoming a third world country.
Amreeka ka kia banay ga ?

One guy has even started a blog on GS. How dumb a person can be to read their blog ?
Yesterday in a thread in life1 I saw a reply by a crusher manufacturing company , are they giving a subliminal message to wives to buy their crushers to crush their husbands to straighten them out ?

I was taking a nap the other day , very soundly. I woke up all of a sudden with lot of khujli inside my nose. I was trying to figure out what happened and I saw a fly circling around the room and figured this is the tiny bugger which is bugging me. My daughter is an expert in zapping flies , she has got so much hang of getting them in one go. So I called her to go on the mission of killing this little bugger. She loves this job , I do not know what kind of thrill she gets out of it. I went back to dozing off again.
Then in my dream I saw these scenarios where I was at the milk shop and the shop owner was pouring milk into my balti which was full of flies and the milk was replacing this mound of flies, then I saw myself buying khajoors and the cart owner would just shake one hand to scare the flies away off of the mound of those khajoors to sell me some.
When I woke up I started to think oh boy , how un thankful I am to Allah , just one fly in my home is bothering me. How easily I forgot that flies were fact of life back home. They were everywhere. They were in the food, they were in the freshly squeezed orange juice and ganny ka juice. Once in a while you would break a tandoori naan and you would find a fly baked inside. I am sure when the Qasa-e was grinding the qeema lots of them would become part of that qeema.
Thank you Alllah for giving me this luxurious life I cannot thank you enough.

No other country was mentioned in that news commentary. Only China for hosting the Olympics, USA because this is USA, then Pakistan , wow such a tiny country and its name being mentioned with big names. I was so proud , the commentator said Pakistan has very unique distinction. No other team has this distinction. I was all ears to listen to that distinction feeling so proud and mighty.
He said the distinction is that Pakistan sent a 35 member delegation to the games, 21 members are hockey players and 14 members of delegation are officials. He was saying that this is very unique distinction Pakistan has . Highest officials to players ratio. :smack:

But since the day I moved to US , I had this feeling of emptiness , I could not show off my material possessions to those who are like me and who could appreciate my achievements. I felt that I am missing something . I had that feeling of emptiness. Internet has made it easy for me to show off my material possession to the entire world and get lots of ooooo's and Awwwwwwww's. I feel so complete now. I can post pictures of my dresses , my home , my TV , my office , my car, my wedding , my cute kids and get lots of compliments.
I am so happy now . Thank you Internet.
