Summer is in the air

College finals ended couple of weeks ago and now the weasel boys are home for summer. Boys back from college mean insane amount of laundry for me with loads and loads of black garbage bags full of dirty clothes in my utility room and late night ‘yaar dost’ visits and ‘hookah’ gatherings in the back patio. I have been waking up to my kitchen counter full of paper plates and silverware from the late night fridge raids by the gang of hungry young men.
Middle school finals begin this week and school will end at the end of May. My last few weeks have been busy catching up on some art projects before the kids are out for summer break and the weasel household is once again full of ‘gaihma gaihmi’ for the summer. Few health concerns have been dealt with and now it is recovery time.
Summer will find missy and myself becoming a regular @ the gym scene. The plan is to get in shape and cut down on junk food. Oldest will leave next week due to work and then @ the end of June weasel family will drive to Disney world. Weasel boys will start summer semester in July and us 2 weasel girls will go visiting the rest of the family in Texas.
Ms weasel has a gig, can you believe it!!!. Her guitar instructor has her accompanying him to one of his private party gigs in Aug. she has been working on a few songs and some desi music.
This southern weather is unpredictable and as of past 2 days the cool breeze and practically no humidity has us fooled into believing that instead of summer we are going into fall. Temperature fluctuations from 90’s last week to cool/ humid free 70’s is mind-boggling.

omg is this what boys do after they grow up...have late night gatherings and leave dirty dishes for mommys to look after in the morning.. ?
