"A 2007 study by researchers at the University of Essex in England found that a daily dose of walking outside could be as effective as taking antidepressant drugs for treating mild to moderate depression."
"A new and growing group of psychologists believes that many of our modern-day mental problems, including depression, stress and anxiety, can be traced in part to society's increasing alienation from nature. The solution? Get outside and enjoy it."
I found it interesting. Im gonna suggest to some my friends who are feeling down to try spending some time with nature. Apparently it can help.
I want to calculate how much time I spend outside/outdoors. I think I only spend about a total of 35 minutes a day outdoors. 4 to 5 days a week. Very sad! That too late at night.
The article stated that people need to spend more time outdoors and that some people only spend a few minutes outdoors going from car to building/office and back. *smack*
I think I am going to sit in the back patio today and take in the pond views.
