I didnt pray that often growing up, despite being reminded to do so. I remember my mom asking me once, "If you dont pray for me who will pray for me when I am gone?" I feel so bad about that just remembering the incident. She does so much for me Mash'Allah, and I dont even bow down to Allah to thank Him for my family nor do I make du'aa for her since I am negligent in prayers. May I become steadfast and regular in my prayers, Ameen.

My mom gave me some money today and when we went grocery shopping, I decided to wander around the store by myself to get items that I wanted to eat. I purchased them separately from my family so they didnt know what I bought until we got home.

I was talking to my Palestinian friend who lives there and he was telling me that he isnt afraid. He said that he got used to the lifestyle there and so he doesnt live in fear. I dont know what part of Palestine he lives in but it isnt Gaza. Growing up in a fairly large city in the US, I have no idea what life will be like living under such conditions as the Palestinians face everyday. I really need to be thankful for what I have been blessed with.

I want to start taking better care of my skin. I'm a no-nonsense type of girl who uses soap and water for the most part. I feel I need to be doing more to take better care of my skin and my body. One of my bhai's is going to Turkey with his family tomorrow, Insha'Allah. Sounds exciting. I want to travel somewhere but cant till the summer. Even then it wont be for vacation.
