So basically, this new guy has moved into the flat next door. He's always smoking away on the balcony like a chimey! Grrr I hate smokers! At first I thought he was Portuguese or something but the other day I overheard him speaking in Arabic. *Faint*

Sooo on Halloween I dragged my flatmates to his flat to invite him to our Halloween party. Oh my life, *faint* he has the most cutest smile ever and this amazing Arabic/American accent. Unfortunately he was soo shy (or probably so overwhelmed by a bunch of googly eyed girls at his doorstep) that he couldn’t really get any words out. *Sigh*

Ohh well maybe next time, Now find me some excuses to knock on his door again???…….. hehe

On a serious note. I have the most retarded flatmates. Yesterday we had to change the hallway bulb, so I got on the chair ready to tackle it. I asked her a million times to check if the switch was off. Then surprise surprise, when I went to change it, the damn light was on and sparked. In shock I ended up dropping the bulb and it smashed all over the floor, so back to square one, still no hallway light.

Our success on winning the case depended entirely on the witnesses eligibility, who in fact turned out to be more simple that I anticipated.

So this witness, in his late 70's was a bit too hyperactive, he kept going off on a tangent in the witness box, I think he though he was in the supreme court of justice! haha. He actually started to dramatised all the events and put questions to the defendants.

Firstly, he forgot his reading glasses, so the clerk had to guide him through the entireeeeee trial bundle! He couldn't even read out his own witness statement! Arghhh

Secondly, when the defendants counsel asked him to point his finger to area in a photo, he actually got out of the witness box, up to the District Judge and showed him, to his face (Yes I was holding my breath all this time, minutes away from passing out)

Thirdly, when he had given his evidence, he didn't wait to be excused, he asked the District Judge (whilst he was in the witness box) if he can go out for a fag! Luckily the Judge was wasn't too much of a grinch.

Nevertheless we won the trial!
